| I'm considering moving to Linux from windows, I dont suppose you're planning to do this too, or to offer a web based pj. | ||
![]() | At the moment we don't have a way to port our applications to Linux. We have considered a web based model, but it's only in the idea stage at the moment.

| Is there an "Undo" feature in PJ? I can't find it, and I sure could use it! | ||
![]() | There is an undo feature in the 'word processor' style sections of Prayer Journal - use the shortcut Ctrl+Z.

![]() | Great question! At the moment it is only possible to print them separately but we will look at improving the print functionality to include being able to do this.

![]() | I guess there are a couple of options for you to consider. 1. You could wait until a full sync version is released to allow for smoother transfer of files between Prayer Journal desktop and Palm versions. After your trial period expires you data will be safe, just inaccessible. If you keep the data there I can help you unlock it for testing in a future trial. While I've done some intial exploration of what's involved I don't have a timeframe for a full sync version at the moment. 2. You could for the moment just use the desktop version of Prayer Journal and then add on the Palm version when a full sync version becomes available. The one-way sync that's currently in place certainly isn't as good as full sync, but if you (for example) add records on the Palm, it's simply a matter of remember to import them into the desktop version before adding new entries to the desktop. Hope this information helps you. Let me know if you have any further questions.
| I understand how to use the Life Levels (how to manipulate the level indicators) but can you tell me what the numbers are for? If you're having a "good day" spiritually, for example, would you make that a high number? I guess I dont' ful | ||
![]() | Hi! Life Levels were inspired by a Bill Hybels presentation during a conference in Australia in the early 1990s. The general concept is that the Life Levels are like gas/fuel gauges (indeed an early version of Prayer Journal had 'empty' and 'full' marks). The idea is that you can record how 'full your tank' is. The aim is the track your physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Higher number would indicate the tank is 'full'; lower number that the tank is empty. The lower ranges are also coloured red as a low level 'warning' indicator. If you have any further questions about Life Levels you can email us .
| Will you develop a Mac version please! This is a great software and would like to use it on my Mac. Thanks! | ||
![]() | Unfortunately, the development application we use can only create applications that are native to PCs. Some of the newer Macs can run PC applications either via special software, or on the latest systems can run Windows XP in tandem with MacOS.
| What is the Cyclic Prayer List for? | ||
![]() | The cyclic prayer lists are a form of creating a rotating list of prayer topics. For example, you can enter an number of topics then, after you have prayed for them you can move them to the inactive list. Once you have prayer through all the topics you can move the topics back to the active list to start again.
| I've just purchased the software can I install it on both of my computers using the same registration key? | ||
![]() | Yes, the software license allows you to install your registered software on your two computers using the same registration key. The only limitation is that two people can't using the software on each computer at the same time (that would require two licenses). Think of it like reading a book. You can read a book in different locations, but only one person can read the book at a time. Let us know if you have any further questions.
| How do I sync my Palm PJ with that on my PC? I cannot see how to do this, sorry! | ||
![]() | The best explanation for this is in the help file? There is a section there about installing, setting up and importing/exporting files with Prayer Journal. If you are still stuck after reading that email support@legacyoflove.net and we can go from there. Please be aware that currently the import/export function is not a full synch. Importing from Palm overwrites the desktop database and exporting from the desktop overwrites the Palm entries. (We are working on a full sync version!).
| Can I buy a CD of Prayer Journal? | ||
![]() | There are currently no 'boxed' versions of our software. We have chosen to distribute via the internet to help keeps prices down. Backup CDs are available at the time of ordering for US$10.99 or US residents or US$12.99 for international customers. To order a backup CD, tick the backup CD box during the ordering process. The latest version of Prayer Journal is always available from our web site.
| Can you give me some direction on how to use the Life Levels? | ||
![]() | Life Levels are three gauges that you can use to track your spiritual, emotional and physical well-being. This is beneficial in order to prevent such conditions as burnout. To use the Life Levels use the left mouse button to click the up/down arrows situated next below the Life Level gauges. When you set the gauges a level between 1 and 100 will show at the bottom of each gauge.
Note: Life Levels were inspired by a Bill Hybels presentation during a conference in Australia in the early 1990s. I have found it a great tool to use in pastoral visitation, especially when talking to leaders - JE.
